A lovely Little Gateleg in Beech Wood

Finely turned details and elegant proportions. A beautiful little table repaired, refinished and returned to use.

The table arrived with separated boards to the table top and leaves, the finish is dry and heavily stained. The framework is loose and damaged in places.

The boards for the top are disassembled, cleaned, squared and prepared for regluing with secret dowels for strength

The frame work is dismantled, old adhesive is cleaned away before regluing and clamping

The multiple layers of paint are carefully removed to reveal the original timber

The timber is coloured and sealed before reassembly
